Let us now discuss that for how many hours the children are required to work. A child who is between 14 and 16 years of age is entitled to work not more than 3 hours a day when the school is open. They can work for 8 hours a day during the holidays. However they cannot work in some places which are not good for the health. Some of such places are coal mines, thermal power station and so on. They will have to work in the places like restaurants and fast food corners. But they are not allowed to cook.
